Coming up with a title for this design was not an easy feat, however not to worry I got there!

So this design is exactly what it says on the tin really. It started off with a black polish, layered with white and then sprinkled with polka dots. Thus the name.

What you'll need
Base Coat
Top Coat
Black nail polish
White nail polish
Your choice of colour for the polka dots
Dotting tools
Nail File
Scotch tape or nail striping tape
Nail Varnish remover

Ok so let's get started!

1: First prepare your nail by adding a base coat. This will act as a foundation for your polish whilst also protecting your natural nails.

2: Apply a layer of black polish. One layer should be enough. Leave to dry fully before applying tape to ensure you don't damage or mark the black polish.

3:Cut strips of striping or scotch tape at about 3cm in length. Apply to your nails as shown in the picture.

4: Apply a layer of white polish, keeping in between the lines!

5: Remove the tape slowly.

6: Using a dotting tool and the colour of your choice, dip the tool into the varnish and start polka dotting your nails. Make sure not to apply too much pressure on the tool as it can cause smudges or damage the layers underneath.

7: Apply a layer of top coat to add an extra shine to your nails!

8: Take time to admire and show off your fabulous new nails!
